The villa is accessed through a heavy timber entrance gate that leads directly into a garden compound with stone pathways edged in tropical flora. A generous sized swimming pool is the centerpiece of the property and is enveloped by a sundeck, a pair of fragrant frangipani trees and several reclining sun-loungers. A traditional thatched pavilion, adorned with plump cushions and sheer curtains that waft in the breeze, is a shady niche for lazy afternoon naps.

Ample Living Space
There are plenty of terraced areas featured throughout Villa Kampung where guests can sit quietly to read or seek private time alone if desired. Alternatively, a communal lounge environment lies beneath an elevated roof structure where oversized chairs, covered in bright cushions and woven textiles, encourages social gatherings after dark. Directly above this open style lounge is a cozy mezzanine setting with a home entertainment system and one wall lined with a bookcase of novels, magazines and other reading materials.

Social Dining Area
A separate dining pavilion and integrated kitchen facility caters especially for extended groups and entertaining. This setting is dominated by a magnificent dining table that has been crafted out of a single piece of timber to accommodate 12 guests in a formal seating arrangement. The sleek kitchen is equipped with top-of-the-range stainless steel appliances and a double door refrigerator to enable convenient meal preparation. An elegant dresser is used to store all necessary tableware and fills this entire area with rustic charm.

Private Bedroom Suites
A total of six bedroom suites in three separate dwellings have been orientated to instill a sense of privacy for every guest. Different room configurations with classically inspired furnishings, ornate carved doors and eye-catching pieces of artwork display flair and originality. Each bedroom features an individually styled canopied double bed with crisp cotton linen, a personalized sitting area and ensuite bathroom with either a sunken tub, shower recess or both facilities for leisurely bathing rituals. There are also a number of relaxation areas with traditional day-beds and sofaâ€™s. A terraced area directly in front of the connecting loft bedroom suites has a billiard table permanently set up for permanent games.

A walled pathway leads from the garden to a sliding door, which provides access to a 13-metre, beachside buff with timber decking and wooden steps leading down to the beach. This area is shared between guests staying at Villa Nataraja and the next-door Villa Raj. This is the place to chill out beneath the tall coconut palms and gaze at the graceful kites scattered throughout the sky, or watch both the sunrise and the sunset create a warm pink glow across the mysterious, towering, sea-cliffs of Nusa Penida Island.

Villa Nataraja’s semi-open air living and dining area borders the swimming pool. Open at each end, equipped with bamboo blinds and cooled by ceiling fans, this is tropical living at its very best. A Jacuzzi extends into the living space and overflows into the pool creating an attractive waterfall feature. A hi-fi system with surround sound is provided for the entertainment of the guests, and wireless high speed Internet access allows guests to send and receive their e-mails inside the villa or beside the pool, in the garden or on the beach. The contemporary furniture is set off by a myriad of textures from smooth white Palimanan stone to carved antique doors framed by dark grey volcanic rock. Impressive local artwork adorns the walls, harmonized with primitive artifacts. A rustic coffee table, and comfortable sofas and chairs, are complemented by richly colored silk cushions, together with a woven rattan and wood-skin mat resting upon the Merbau wood floor. A striking feature is the curved floating staircase, fashioned in richly patterned wood and supported by eight columns. The open plan dining area is furnishing with a table for six and overlooks a lotus pond. The pond is traversed by stepping stones that lead through a pebbled courtyard to the fully equipped service kitchen where the staff will prepare delicious meals. Every need of the guests has been considered, and a particularly thoughtful touch is the provision of a barbeque. A series of wide stone pillars create a partition, for privacy, between the kitchen and the living and dining area.

The air-conditioned master bedroom, complete with en-suite bathroom and wide balcony, covers the whole of the upper floor under a soaring pitched roof. A queen size bed is made up with top quality linens and a red and black Chinese silk bedcover. Rich drapes frame the windows, local paras stone bricks form a wall behind the bed, old photographs enhance the decor, and a wooden cabinet houses a satellite TV, DVD and CD player. Glass doors and fly screens open out onto a timber balcony deck commanding breathtaking views of the coastline and ocean. The en-suite bathroom comprises two mirrored dressing rooms with ample storage space, together with two separate washing areas linked by a covered balcony walkway. This clever design allows the dressing rooms and bathroom to be accessed by two different doors from the bedroom, and the walkway is enclosed with fretwork wooden walls, which allow the cool breezes to permeate. One of the grey terrazzo-floored bathroom areas features a black terrazzo corner bathtub and twin washbasins. The other area features a shower, toilet and washbasin.

The two remaining air-conditioned bedrooms are located downstairs and are mirror images of each other, each with en-suite bathroom, satellite TV, DVD and CD player. Glass doors and fly screens in each room open onto a personal terrace furnished with daybeds, and a dressing area is located behind the bed. Each garden bathroom features â€˜his â€˜n’ hers’ washbasins, toilet, and a black terrazzo sunken bathtub and shower, bordered by plants, together with a three-tiered running water feature, and a wall for privacy.

The Location
The recent construction of the Sanur-Kusumba by-pass road has made this area accessible to the rest of the island and positions Villa Nataraja within easy driving distance of most of Bali ’s tourist attractions. Villa Nataraja is just forty-five minutes drive from Bali’s international airport, thirty minutes from the cultural town of Ubud , ten minutes from Sukawati art and handicraft market, ten minutes from Sanur, and thirty minutes from the restaurants, shops and nightlife of Kuta and Seminyak. Ketewel village is the origin of the famous Legong Bededari Dance, and the neighbouring village of Sawa produced the finest Legong dancers on the island. The style of the villa is contemporary and elegant; a group of eight or ten people can stay at the house, very comfortably, without encroaching on each othersâ€™ space. It was specifically designed to maximise the wonderful panoramic views, and offers the ultimate in private luxury for those who seek tranquillity combined with a high standard of service. Jembar Lawang means â€œlarge open door or gateâ€ in the Javanese language. It is an indirect expression for â€œwarm welcomeâ€, which is substantiated by the antique statues of a Javanese wedding couple, waiting to welcome the guests as they step over the threshold.

Indeed, guests entering the property for the first time, as they cross over a small ornamental pond, will have no idea what to expect behind the large front door. They will be surprised when they find that the doorway leads into a magnificent, semi-circular, open living area supported by towering Romanesque columns and harmonised by a cool terracotta tiled floor. Looking out over the flat green lawn and furnished with antique daybeds, a large dining table, and low antique retro tables, this is an ideal place for relaxing or socialising; perfect for a party, a reception or a lazy lunch. This imposing living area is the main focus of the property and is flanked on either side by corresponding two-storey wings, which accommodate the bedroom suites, the library, the entertainment room, two additional ground floor shower rooms, the kitchen and the laundry.

There are four double bedrooms, two in each wing, boasting spacious en-suite terrazzo bathrooms. The light and airy bedrooms also feature built-in wardrobes, chunky antique furniture, timber floors, picture windows and large sliding glass doors. One of the bedrooms has a romantic four-poster bed. The downstairs bedrooms are each complemented by a terrace overlooking the garden, and the upstairs bedrooms each feature a large stone balcony with an attractive balustrade, furnished with daybeds and enhanced by pots of bougainvillea and stunning views of the rice fields. Each of the en-suite bathrooms with its terrazzo fixtures, has its own distinct characteristics; some of the bathrooms are entered by stepping through beautiful old wooden doors and feature slate paved floors, bathtubs, and â€˜his and hersâ€™ washbasins; others feature open-air garden showers surrounded by pebbles and plants, another displays a carved white Palimanan stone frieze on the exterior wall.

The library, which can also double as an additional bedroom, is situated upstairs and is furnished with an antique, hand-carved and canopied, ceremonial marriage bed. This room also features an en-suite bathroom and a large balcony; facing west, this is a place to enjoy beautiful sunsets and more of those spectacular views, accompanied by the sounds of cicadas, frogs and the distant murmur of the waves.

The entertainment room, downstairs in the opposite wing of the villa, is a cosy snug where guests can relax in air-conditioned comfort with a satellite TV, DVD player, and a â€˜Boseâ€™ surround sound system.

Bulrush ponds border the villa, and the flat lawns of the walled garden are dotted with coconut trees, but the attractive grounds of the property are deliberately not crowded with plants and shrubs, therefore ensuring that it retains the feeling of space. An 18 x 4 metre infinity edge lap pool runs the width of the garden at the top end, sheltered by a grassy terrace. A thatched â€˜baleâ€™, a traditional Balinese relaxation pavilion, is situated on one side of the pool.

The spacious kitchen, where the staff will prepare a wide range of delicious meals from an innovative menu, is fully equipped with wooden fitted cupboards and a modern stainless steel hob and oven. A laundry is situated at the back of the kitchen, and other practicalities, such as the staff quarters and the garage are taken care of in the service area beside the ample car park, leaving the remainder of the house free for the guests to enjoy.

The peaceful, coastal village of Canggu is set within a beautiful agricultural region located between Kuta and Tanah Lot. The area is home to some of the most luxurious private villas on the island, and is situated forty minutes from Baliâ€™s International Airport and fifteen minutes from one of the best golf courses in Asia. Villa Casis Bali comprises of six air-conditioned bedrooms each with private bathroom en-suite. Enter through main gate, offering space to park two cars. Step up to enter villa through double doors into living and dining area, offering 180-degree views of Bali from east to west. Behind dining area is the fully equipped main kitchen with separate wine fridge, separate beer and water fridge, extra large main fridge, dishwasher, free standing stove and oven, microwave. Secondary wet kitchen is accessible through door from main kitchen. From dining and living area descend to garden and overflow lap pool, with pooldeck and 4 deckchairs. From the garden you can access the emerald and ruby suites.

Access to the four air-conditioned bedrooms is from the dining area ascending a ramp to the first floor amethyst and sapphire suites or descending a ramp to the garden level emerald and ruby suites. The identically laid out master sapphire and emerald suites both feature fully marbled ensuite bathrooms with terrazzo bathtubs and walk-in closets. All bedrooms come with flat screen 21â€ TVs and DVD players, king-size bedrooms with mosquito nets, and wooden parquet floors. The bedrooms on the first floor have balconies with garden and island views.

From the dining area pass through sliding doors to a patio with the bale surrounded by a fish pond and offering great views over the island.
